Our Summer of 2013 in short :)

It has been almost three months since I last posted here but we were too busy enjoying our summer for me to find time to write. Now I have plenty to talk about and so sadly I am going to miss a few things and I am sorry about that.

We started our summer with Lilly's birthday. I still can't believe she has been here for a year with us. She is so amazing and makes our lives complete. She is our little sunshine and she always knows how to make us smile. Our own little fairy princess.

To keep up with her favourite Disney movie I made her a Brave chocolate cake. She was lucky to have a nice sunny day and we all had a wonderful day.

For the rest of July we enjoyed the company of family members coming over to visit. Lilly got a great trip in Toys'r'us where she decided to reorganise shelves and hide amongst toys.

She also enjoyed rolling over on the floors there. Everyone thought she was very cute and she made friends with a baby there.

Lilly started developing quite a few interesting habits, most of them keep us pretty entertained. She climbs on the table and start dancing and singing, she also tells stories (that we don't understand but whenever she starts laughing or stops and stares at us with a raised eyebrow we laugh and she laughs and keeps on going). She can do her one baby show for at least an hour and a half.

We finally found a hat that she will sometimes keep on her head. With a nice wee coat. She looks so grown up in it, more and more a little girl and less and less a baby.

On the last day of July, we left to France to visit my family. Lilly had her first time on the plane. She was quite surprised at the beginning and then fell asleep for most of the trip.

Lilly adapted to the French diet very quickly. She loved the bread, pastries and got quite fond of chocolate ice cream that she was allowed since the weather was so hot there. She has a preference for dark chocolate magnums and Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey.

She got herself some nice little naps with Simon.

And went with him play in a little park. She really loved the weather and her time with her aunties and grandparents there.

But I think the moment we all enjoyed the most and with which we will conclude this article was our trip to Disneyland! It was a first time for all of us and we all thought three days were way too short. I will probably put up another article later on with all the pictures from there :)

Meanwhile here is a little extract of us about to enter the park:

We found a perfect little door in the Sleeping Beauty's castle just for Lilly:

She was greeted first by the Mad Hatter but only stayed in Simon's arms long enough to be take in picture with Captain Jack Sparrow. She was pretty intrigued by him and forgot the camera for a few moments.

We found the perfect place for Lilly. She did try to steal a giant Mickey Mouse toy from there. They had the loveliest Christmas decorations there and home accessories. I could have spent three days in this little boutique.

She really loved the music that was constantly playing, it all put us in good spirits. She loved the
20th anniversary celebration parade of the afternoon.

Her favourite ride was the Small World one, we went on it quite a few time and had to restrain her from jumping off the boat. She danced and baby sang the whole time.
In front of one of the shops were some fake prams and on our last night there we took some pictures with her in one of them.

Now until last time is a picture of Lilly's future house:
